Are you ready for a little secret very few tango dancers know about…

To be honest, even though we have over 27 years of combined teaching experience, it took us a lot of time to even realize it!

But you’ll see, this will simplify the way you look at leading & following in tango.

Ready for that secret?

Here it is…

The tango leader and follower’s technique is actually exactly the same…

Yes, they look different from the outside because one is proposing the movement and the other one is accepting it…

But in fact, whether we’re a leader or a follower, we’re using exactly the same technique. Only our roles (i.e. the way we are using that technique) change!

It’s like a mirror.

When a dancer does a movement, their partner usually does the opposite. This is what makes us look like we’re moving “as one” with our partners!

Understanding this is key to connect better with your partners.

So we’d like to help you see this with this week’s video lesson. Join us as we show you how to combine 2 sacadas with a mirrored step – so that you learn how to sync in with your partner and connect with them at a deeper level.

Click on the video to learn:

  • How to combine a giro with 2 sacadas, so you can make your circular movements more fun & creative
  • How to use your side steps to add more power & stability to your dancing (we’re looking at you, followers ;))
  • How to find the leg connection in your sacadas so they look more organic
  • How to use a mirrored half-turn to resolve any circular movement in a unique way

We hope it helps.

Thank you so much for watching.

Keep learning, and keep sharing your dancing, because the world of tango needs your embrace.

Much love,

Pablo & Anne
