Is off-axis 💀 dead?  

You’ve probably heard whispers that tango Nuevo and its off-axis movements is dead, that it’s over, or that the axis sharing moves are oh-so-passé.    

(People will say anything if it excuses them from challenging themselves and learning new technique)    

But a quick look at all maestro performances speaks for itself:      

Javier and moira use off-axis all the time. 

Carlitos and Noelia use off-axis a lot too (or use to when they danced together :)))

And of course, chicho and Juana keep finding new ways to use it .     

I don’t know any amazing dancer who doesn’t use off-axis in their dancing regularly.  

Because you see, off-axis makes your dancing so exciting!

It brings an edge to your movements, it change the dynamics of your dancing, it helps you bring to life the suspensions of tango music.

So today we show you a simple but very useful way to go off axis: from the side step.
