Dear dancer,

When I first heard of Pablo’s mum, what someone said to me was “she’s radiant”.

And she is.

She has a big heart, laughs easily, and loves her children to bits.

She’s also very creative.

For example, she used to take the traditional Argentine “empanadas” recipe, and turn it from a sweet & savory treat for her kids.

Instead of stuffing it with chicken, beef, onions as is usually done, she’d add sugar, olives, raisins…

A bit unconventional but Pablo loved it!

And this is what we’re inviting you to do with this week’s video lesson: taking a traditional tango movement, and shaking things up, making it yours!

Join us this week as we explore a movement you probably already know – the sanguchito – and twist it in an unconventional way!

Check this week’s video to learn:

  • How to turn the sanguchito into a rhythmic movement
  • How to communicate a change of dynamics in the embrace
  • How to do a back sacada to create a sweeping movement with the follower’s leg

We hope it helps.

Thank you so much for watching!

Keep learning, and keep sharing your dancing, because the world of tango needs your embrace.

Much love,

Pablo & Anne
